Forum: audio Subject: New user-- handful of questions

Greetings all,

As a new user, I've got a couple of technical questions about the audio files I load, and my user account. Hopefully we can resolve all of them...

1) When I add new songs, it seems like a new page is created for each individual song. Is there some way to have all the songs listed together on a single page? (ie, a centralized page devoted to my user account)

2) Related to #1. For each song, I'm able to grab some html code for a music player that I can paste back onto my personal website. Since each song is loaded individually though, I wind up having one player per each individual song. If possible, I'd rather have all of my songs run through a single player. I don't know much about html, but I did try tinkering with pieces of the code to try to get this to work on my website, but never wound up figuring it out. Can this be done?

3) Also related to #1. On the page for each of my songs, I find the field "This item is part of the collection..." It seems to default to "Open Source Audio". How can I create my own "collection"?

4) Related to #3. I'd like to set up an RSS feed for any time I upload new songs. It looks like I can set up an RSS feed per "collection", so this may be resolved automatically if we can resolve question #3.

5) How can I delete a song from If I click on a file's "mgr" link, I'm taken to the item's Manager screen. There, I see a link to "check out" the item, which also states that I can remove the item file, but I couldn't find anything that seemed to allow me to remove an item and its associated files altogether. Are things loaded onto permanently loaded??

If it helps resolve any of my questions above, here are the two pages I've set up so far:

Thank you for any help you can give!!

if you want to set up a collection:

"You can email our collections staff at info at Be sure to include the details of your collection; we want to know how many items you have, what format they are in as well as any general information you can give us about the collection." (

embedded mp3 player: read the documentation and learn how to make your own play lists:

if you want to delete one of your items just post a request in forums.

keep in mind that currently admins respond very slowly (they seem to have some important things to fix) so be patient.
